THE SHOW
Back to the roots
The flamenco tablao theater TORERO wants to recover the roots of authentic flamenco, for this reason, the show is held in a brick cave that is more than 180 years old as it was done a century ago. Without any kind of amplification. Spectators are located a few meters from the stage to feel and live the passion of the artists and imbibe the flamenco duende.
Authenticity
As we are committed to the authenticity of flamenco, we do not serve food, as we believe that it is a way of undermining this art and undervaluing the artists. The only protagonists of the show -which is called “Essential Flamenco”- are on stage, and they deserve to be considered as such.
We believe in pure flamenco, without costume jewellery. And we find it shocking that it is wrapped in an Andalusian decoration, with cattail chairs and paper lanterns. Flamenco jondo is a great and universal art, not part of local folklore.
An hour of ART
The Essential Flamenco show lasts one hour and places singing, guitar, dance and percussion on stage.
